Thanks everyone for the replies. I too think there might be a little more space on the underside. I think I'm going to keep this seat and re-cover it anyway, it works well enough.

CA77 seat, or is it?

I've been looking around at covers my 305's seat, and it got me thinking. I've had trouble lining up the bolt screws when re-attatching the seat, and started wondering if my seat is really for my bike. I've tried to compare photos of both seats side by side, but I can't see a big difference. I searc...

thanks guys, for all the help. i was pulling my hair out on that one! stayed up til two getting the timing set and the idle nice and smooth. once i started i couldn't stop. i knew it was going to be nice today and wanted to take it for a spin around the block (first outting!)

so I'm feeling pretty stupid on this one, but i finally figured it out. there is a throttle adjustment screw near the pivot of the handlebars turning side to side. if it gets caught, it will pull the throttle WIDE open. didn't think about there being one further down the cable, instead of next to th...

idle screw all the way out. slide bottoms out and retracts. cable should be routed correctly. when i bought it from p.o., it popped right off, and i haven't rerouted it.

Hello! First time poster, but been reading and researching since the begining of the year. My 1964 CA77 has finally been running (with electric start!), but as soon as it turns over, it revs so high it's going shake it apart. I was worried about the odd throttle set-up on this bike, but the slide in...
