Loud Mouse, Thanks for the info you provided! I think the '64 model with Type 1 engine fits this bike's characteristics ( 180 crank/dual points). I do believe it's a fairly early bike, it has the seat with chrome buckles, and doesn't appear to have ever had a lift handle on the left rear frame rail....

VIN numbers of CP-77'sI just repurchased a CP-77 that I bought at auction about 10 years ago. The VIN numbers don't seem to correspond to the range listed in the Silver book. My frame is CP77-1100009, engine CP77E-1100046. I believe the 7 digit no's are typical of 65 up, but the first digits being "11" seems to be differ...
