Check out US ebay for a company called armor lock or close to that.
You can search for"honda replacement key" and should find it.
I've got two sets from him with good service.

The tube is not a problem. Put it in and tap carefully with a hammer. Should be just fine.

Check your slides. There is a "bump" in the carb bore and a corresponding slit
in the slide. Or the slides are in the wrong carb. Hope this helps.

Hey, there is a seal on the engine along with the one on the cable.
IF I remember you take the cable drive loose from the engine to get to it.

Husabob, The way that the inside splines fit on the shaft allow the splines to tighten up just where the bolt is pinching. The side opposite may be loose. The splines right by the
two bolts holes (inside of kick starter arm) will be the splines I suggested grinding on.
