Right its back from a full crack test and there is nothing wrong so its a good clean new gaskets and put it back together . If that doesn't fix it I will have to pull it down again and have another look if I do see anything in the re-build I will let you know ok

Get the head back tomorrow from crack test so we will see if there anything there . If not it just going to be a bloody good clean and a vey careful rebuild when the gaskets come.Trust the post to go strike just when i need something !

Going to have another look at the state of the gaskets and seals as i can't think its anything else . First place i looked was valve guide size . Machined a go/no go plug gauge to factory sizes and the bores in the head are spot on sized the valves and they are the same . yeah i think thats the problem just got a copy of the parts list for the bike and the general honda service manual for all bikes upto 1988 so i'm going to pull it down and have a look over the next week
