I wrote this a couple years ago and will gladly share it again: The last time some one asked this it ended up in a 50 some page train wreck of a thread. Look at the casing near the engine number and you will see that the manufacture calls for 30W non detergent oil. You can also use a blended more m...

Jensey, Not sure why the challenge; but it makes interesting conversation and to each his own. Riding Honda's for over thirty years now, total rebuilds....0. I always bought clean, low mileage bikes that only needed carb work, valves adjusted, tires, etc. But on engine rebuilds, especially air cool...

its a drain down to where the sprocket is, IIRC. So what ever will be laying down in the bottom or eventally spit out the back of the chain opening.
