My bike has similar symptoms because the fork has spread, or I've got the wrong axle in there, or something - I literally cannot tighten the axle nut enough to pull the forks together to keep the wheel tight on the axle. Some washers fixed it reasonably well, but I dunno if there's a better solution...

Petcock gasket dimensions

Anyone happen to know the dimensions (diameter and thickness) of the petcock lever gasket on the CL/CB's? The one with the four holes in it. I've had a heck of a time finding a replacement gasket for an old Kawasaki I have. The one on my CL looks like it'd be pretty close, but with a tank full of ga...

Just FYI, this looks like the same kit as the original post for $12 less:

Front wheel alignment

I've got the '67 CL's engine running like buttah now, thanks to the magic formula in the FAQ. The last (?) thing before it's good to go is the front wheel. It's angled significantly left-to-right in the vertical plane (it looks like you're turning slightly left when you're going straight) and off sl...

Thanks for the reply. I wonder if my seat and frame are mismatched? I've never seen another CL77 in person, so all this little stuff turns into a guessing game. Carbs, engines, electrics - there's plenty of advice on here for the big things, but this little stuff is hard to track down.

Seat question

Still figuring out my new '67 CL77. The front of the seat, on the bottom of the bucket, has a little metal lip that looks like it slides under something. The frame has a hinge-looking part. The parts sheet shows this: "06 RUBBER, SEAT SETTING 77101-273-300" that looks like it brings these things tog...
