Great, thanks! Yeah, just eyeballing it, didn't look like it lined up 100%. Should be close enough to bend though like you say. Figured the rivets would have to be destroyed, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

Remove coil from bracket?

Hi! I'm replacing a stock coil on a '66 dream with one off eBay that some folks on here says bolts up to the stock bracket. Question is, how do I remove the coil from the bracket? It looks like it's held in by two rivets? And if that's the case (and I have to remove them destructively), what do I us...

Thanks! Embarrassingly enough, I'm the one that actually replaced the condenser and left the old leads there. That was a few years back and apparently I forgot :)

Thanks again,
David

Hello! Finally resurrecting my old '66 CA77 305 project. Even with everyone's abundant help here a few years back, I wasn't able to get the Dream up and going. Can someone clarify for me... the 26.5mm, I can see from the Clymer it's from the lip of the body to the top of the float (when upside down, as in the illustration). But is that the highest range of motion, or lowest (again, when the carb is upside down)? I assumed it was at the lowest, since that m...

I would think it's understandable if it dies when closing the choke. If it's already running rich normally (choke plate open, or choke "off"/down), closing the choke plate (up, what you might think of choke "on") cuts off even more air and increase the fuel/air ratio even further. At this point it m...

Whitewalls

Anyone ever seen these before? I was thinking ahead to new tires next season and had read some negative reviews on the Coker whitewalls. Thoughts?
