ok, here's the adjuster

So, I've pulled out one of my adjusters, and yes they are not flat but they are barely rounded. Tough call to make the adjustment as with the angle that the rocker comes down, the gap will not be on the apex of the minute curve on my tappet. If that's I'll I'm going for fine. If my adjustment screw ...

thanks

Yes, I know that seems like the obvious answer, but I have some slim offset feeler guages that allow me to slide in from the front to measure the back edge where the clearance would be less. So if I follow what you saying correctly, and I were to measure only on the front edge, then the back edge of...

Wanted: 305 guru in the greater Philadelphia area

I was wondering if any of my fellow honda305 forum members live in the greater Philadelphia, PA area. If anybody know...

Adjusting valve clearance

Regarding adjusting valve clearance, I've gone through and adjusted all the valves, twice now and still find what I think is my valve train to be noisy through acceleration and decceleration. All I can think of is that the rocked arm adjustment postion does not really sit squarely against the top of...

Sunday ride and clutch cable question

I've had my dream about a month and a half now. Bought it from the original owner with about 4000 miles on her. Spent the past month going over, adjusting, lubing and cleaning everything. Finally got my antique tag in mail last week and I did my first Sunday ride this past weekend. I's a nimble litt...

emblems

I just watched a couple sets of the correct badges go on ebay. I could use a new right side one so I browse ebay for them. Anyway, just saw a beautiful NOS set go for $335 a week ago then saw a almost perfect used set go for $275. The originals are beautiful but be prepared to spend some bucks. You ...
